my new favorite blog...

I don't know about you... I like this blog thing. As far as blogs go - I like mine the least - feel like I've got the least to add to the blog world, but I like having a forum to write some of what I am thinking - even if it is just for me!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about you... I have some blogs I read - or at least look at - daily. I enjoy reading what the blogger has to say, and joining in on the conversations that take place there. Some days I run across some great things. Some days it is a not so captivating. Today I enjoyed my friend Rex's post about his dad you can check it out at http://www.rexboyles.com/blog/ My friend Trey had some good things about what a wife needs from her husband at his blog http://www.treymorgan.net/.

This morning I felt like I needed more. So I went to a blog I've been reading for quite a while now. The blogger has not added anything new in sooooo long... but the blogs are always fresh. I read a lot of preacher's blogs - and this is a preacher's blog as well.

Here are a few of the subjects on this blog:
frustrations in life...
living like a hamster in the wheel...
emptiness...
out of control...
being happy...
the evil done to the oppressed...
the blessing of fellowship...
worship...
the deception of $...
the gift of God...
an unsatisfied soul...
lessons learned from death...
not looking back...

As you "cruise" around to different blogs... go ahead and give this one a look. Some of it you will identify with immediately... some of it will be for a different time. No matter what you will be aware of a different perspective of life.

The author simply goes by "the preacher."
Ready for the address?

Ecclesiastes.

Today... it hit me... this blog is among the best blogs ever written. It is new... relevant... helpful... worthy of discussion.

Today... give it a read... at least the first 3 chapters.

Today... comment on the blog about what you learned.

Remember, I'm a little slow, but I liked this: Ecclesiastes the best blog I've read!

Ray,
One thing that I read from the "preacher" is something we touched on in an earlier post. There is a time to be silent and a time to speak. (Like Jesus knew when it was wiser to remain silent in the face of his accusers) Another thing that jumped off the page: It is not wise to say "why were the old days better than these?" We need to look for the God things...the way God is going to use us today...as we are...bruises and all.
Thanks for the reminder to read the best "blog" :-)

I KNEW THAT ... but I loved the way you reminded me of it. (You got me!) Let's complete our lives - by fearing God and keeping His commandments. (Wouldn't that also make pretty good - hermeneutic?)i hope your heart is at peace ... as is your soul.
